MAY SKINCARE UPDATE & THE ORDINARY REVIEW
Welcome to my last skincare update post of this series. For the last three month I've been changing my skincare routine and testing four products of The Ordinary. And as promised (and even later than last time) I want to share my experience I've collected during the last month with you now.
For the basic part nothing has changed really. I'm still using baby wash and I'm still removing my makeup with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. But I'm now using a wash cloth for peeling my skin and I've changed the amount of times I'm using the products. I try to use one of the products every second day and keep the day in between to let my skin calm down and regenerate. I'm also only using one product per time, so it's easier for me to see the effects and differences they make on my skin.
And while talking about the products, here are the experiences I've made the past month.
Lactic Acid 5% + HA
To be honest with you, I've stopped using this product half way though the month, due to the drastic change of weather. It's know that while using this product the skin gets extremely sensitive to sun. In Germany the sun is shining more than ever now and I'm slightly afraid of using this product right now. That's why I've stopped using it, for now at least. I'm definitely going to use it again later this year.
Caffeine Solution 5% EGCG
I'm still not quite sure about this one. Like I said last month it helps to reduce puffiness under the eyes, but I don't really see that much of a difference when it comes to dark under eyes. I heard that it works great for others and I do really believe that, but probably just not for me.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
This has to be by far my favorite product of them all. I can clearly see the differences it has made. My acne scar are less red and the amount of blemishes has lessened a lot. It does not burn or tickle and leaves no dry patches. I can highly recommend this one.
100% Plant-Derived Squalane
I really like this product, because it helps recovering dry patches around my face. This month I wanted to try out putting it almost all over my face and to be honest, I didn't like this as much. So I can only recommend applying it to dry parts and dots to avoid flaky makeup.
I hope you like this sort of series and let me know, if you did. What products would recommend?
